Types of data and purposes of processing

I. Use of the Styleguide

When you register for the Styleguide, we collect the following data from you:

• Name 
• e-mail address 
• company address 
• Telephone number

We process this data to ensure that only authorized persons have access to the REMONDIS Corporate Design. Your data will be stored for the duration of your use of the platform. Your data will be deleted as soon as you do not click on the e-mail link to renew your account, which is sent out on a regular basis (every 6 months). The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

II. Logging

When using the website, specific connection data and data provided by your Internet browser are temporarily stored. The following data is logged for the operation of the website:

• IP address of the calling computer  
• Operating system of the calling computer 
• Browser version of the calling computer 
• Name of the retrieved file 
• Date and time of retrieval 
• Transferred data volume 
• Referring URL 
• Connection logging

To the extent that this information is personal, we use it only for the purpose of operating the website and to protect the confidentiality and integrity of the personal data processed with our IT systems (including for technical purposes of network communication, error and fault detection and to defend against attacks). The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

We will delete the IP address not later than after 7 days. A personal reference can no longer be established from the remaining data.

REMONDIS also uses this information about usage behaviour in anonymous form for the purpose of designing and improving its website in line with requirements. You can find more information on this in the “Cookies” section.

III. contact form/info orders

In the interest of communication with customers and interested parties, we offer a contact form on our website which you can use to request information about our products or to contact us in general. In addition to the voluntary information and the content of your message, we require the following information from you:

Salutation 
Surname 
First name 
e-mail address

We need this information in order to process your request, address you correctly and send you a reply. Inquiries received via the contact form are stored as e-mails and regularly checked to see whether data can be deleted. If data is no longer required in the context of a customer or prospective customer relationship or if a conflicting interest of the customer prevails, we will delete the data concerned after 180 days at the latest, provided that there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Insofar as contact is made to initiate contractual relationships, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Your rights as a data subject

Upon request, we will inform you in writing or electronically whether and which of your personal data is stored with us (right of access pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR) as well as your entries to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and transfer (Art. 20 GDPR) of your personal data and, if the conditions are met, we will check this and carry it out if the requirements are met. The same applies if you have given your consent to the collection or use of personal data and wish to withdraw this consent. You can revoke such consent at any time with effect for the future by e-mail or letter.

Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that the processing of your personal data is unlawful, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Data transmission to third parties and outside the EU

We only transfer your personal data to third parties if you have consented to the transmission, if the transmission is necessary for the execution of the offers or services that you wish to make use of, or in the event of any other statutory right for transmission and if the protection of your legitimate interests is guaranteed.

With the exception of the use of Google Fonts, no per-sonal data collected by us will be processed in a third country. The provider of these services is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

With regard to the use of Google Fonts, Google Inc. guarantees an appropriate level of data protection as part of its participation in the so-called “Privacy Shield” and the measures taken by Google on data protection and data security in the EU. See also notes on Google Fonts.

Google Web Fonts

For the uniform representation of fonts we use so-called web fonts, which are provided by Google. When you call up a web page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly. To do this, the browser you are using must connect to Google's servers. This gives Google knowledge that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appeal-ing presentation of our online offers. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

You can set your browser so that the fonts are not downloaded from the Google servers (e.g. by installing add-ons). If your browser does not support Google Fonts or if you block access to the Google servers, the text will be displayed in the system's default font. Please note that our website will then no longer match our screen design.

Matomo

On our websites, we use a version of Matomo implemented on our own servers. This is an open source analysis software for the purpose of statistical evaluation of visitor access. Based on this evaluation, we would like to understand in particular which of our pages are accessed and how often, but not by whom they are accessed. The implementation of Matomo on our server does not use cookies. We only store anonymized user data to collect general statistical values without comprehensively analyzing user behavior. A comprehensive analysis of user behavior is also not possible due to the anonymized data collected. The IP address transmitted in the server log-in is anonymized on our server before it is transmitted to the Matomo installation and replaced by a random IP address. It is not possible to track the IP address using the anonymized data, as temporal entries are randomized during the Matomo installation.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard disk by your browser. We also use so-called session cookies. These serve to establish a definite connection between you and our Internet presence. Only a random number is stored for this. The session cookie is automatically removed when you close your browser.

If you do not wish to accept cookies on your computer (or another device), you can deactivate them in your Internet browser. However, this may impair the user-friendliness and functionali-ty of the website. The legal basis for data processing by cookies for the purpose of operating the website is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
